Working with Blumhouse and director Scott Derrickson, Filmograph crafted this main title sequence – a mixture of edited live action archival footage and contemporary animation techniques – in an effort to establish an unsettling tone for the film, which depicts a missing boy's attempt to not only escape from a kidnapper's clutches, but to also uncover the mystery surrounding the disappearances of those that came before him. In doing so, he learns more about himself – and what he is capable of – than he ever could have imagined.
