Filmograph was honored to develop and design the latest animated theatrical logo for longtime collaborators Basil Iwaynk and Erica Lee. The production company behind the John Wick franchise was looking for a fresh approach to their brand, and our goal was to maintain the use of roller coaster and boardwalk nostalgia, while breathing new life into the logo's resulting metaphor: their films are the embodiment of an action-packed thrill ride, so naturally, we had to have the rails of the track transition into the sprocket holes of a filmstrip, as the logo is thrust onto the screen.
